Aura Elected in Extreme Landslide as Skyblock Democracy Changes Forever

Aura’s victory came as no surprise. Many players were eager to see her anti-elitist, pro-equality promises become reality, while others were simply curious about what this mysterious new mayor would bring. But despite all expectations, no one was prepared for what happened next.

Almost instantly after the results were announced, the Community Center began changing — a new bridge appeared, marking the first of several rapid modifications. But this was far from the most alarming development. Within minutes, Goons — nearly identical to those used by the infamous dictator Dante — appeared across every lobby.

The situation escalated quickly. New prisons were constructed in every hub, and within minutes players found themselves being jailed. First, those using the non-functional /killaura command were imprisoned. Then players criticizing Aura. Then players punching Goons. No matter how trivial the action, punishment was swift.

The “mayor of the people” quickly revealed a far more authoritarian side. Free speech vanished overnight. Fear spread. Ordinary citizens were being jailed for the smallest perceived offense. Panic echoed across the playerbase.

Many hoped that surviving until the next mayoral election would provide an escape. But to everyone’s shock, a new countdown appeared — and it wasn’t for another mayor.

It was for a Minister Election. Seven real players will be chosen to serve as Ministers, a role rumored to allow them to create their own perks. And despite Aura being a permanent mayor, this new election is, ironically, more democratic — fame rank does not influence a player’s voting power.

Campaigns have already erupted across Skyblock, with figures such as Future77 (endorsed by Aura Resistance), Derailious, Squid Kid, and many more entering the race. With no API data available, I will be manually tracking and updating vote counts throughout the coming days.
