Skyblock Prepares for Chaos as Aura Set to Win in an Extreme Landslide

As of the time of writing — with just seven hours remaining — Aura is projected to win the Skyblock Mayoral Election in what Skyblock Elections officially classifies as an “Extreme Landslide.” But despite this overwhelming support, unrest continues to build. The increasingly notorious resistance group, Aura Resistance, has announced what may be their largest protest yet, scheduled to occur 45 minutes before the election concludes. You can read more about the group here: Political Tensions Hit an All-Time High as Protests Spread.

Since our last article, several of Aura’s perks have received updated wording:

Italic text indicates adjusted descriptions.

Fundraising
Taxes and costs are vastly increased across the world.
Minion Union Minister Perk
Minions work 50% slower.
Universal Income
Every hour, 100% of Coins gained from Fundraising are redistributed equally.
Work Better
Everyone is now luckier!
Work Harder
Monsters deal 10% more damage and have 10% more health.
Work Smarter
Gain +50% Skill EXP

These changes appear to be mostly cosmetic, clarifying the perk descriptions rather than making mechanical adjustments. However, players have reported unusually high RNG today — possibly linked to the Work Better perk, despite Aura not yet being mayor.

Additionally, players have noticed Coins being removed when warping to certain locations (e.g. the Castle), suggesting that parts of the Fundraising perk may already be active. Concerned voters claim that this is proof “Aura’s dictatorship has already started.”

In a lighter twist, the admins added a new command today: /killaura — almost certainly a joke referencing the old /killdante command that ended Dante’s reign years ago. There is no indication that it has any real function.

Poll Release

Over the past few days, Skyblock Elections surveyed players with the following question:

“With Aura entering the election cycle, how much do you trust her to lead a democratic Skyblock?”

Here are the results:

Sample size: 154

Category Votes
Trust Completely72 (46.75%)
Trust Mostly9 (5.84%)
Neutral13 (8.44%)
Distrust Mostly22 (14.29%)
Distrust Completely38 (24.68%)

With just eight hours left in the election, all eyes are now on Aura and the looming protests. Will she withstand the growing pressure, or will the resistance succeed in disrupting Skyblock’s democratic process? Only time will tell.
